Projects Experience

2024.8

Skin Cancer Detection Using Convolutional Neural Networks | University of Cambridge

I developed a skin cancer detection system leveraging deep learning technologies. The system utilized a modified AlexNet architecture, implementing a lightweight CNN model built with PyTorch to classify skin lesions as benign or malignant. By incorporating attention mechanisms, the model adaptively focused on crucial regions within images while effectively suppressing interference from irrelevant information, which substantially improved classification accuracy. The project demonstrated how specialized neural network architectures can be applied to critical medical diagnostic challenges.

2023.10-11

Automatic Parking Space Detection Using Deep Learning | GuangDong University of Foreign Studies

Working with deep learning and computer vision technologies, I designed a lightweight YOLOv5s architecture enhanced with CBAM attention mechanisms to dynamically allocate feature weights. This approach significantly improved parking space recognition accuracy in challenging scenarios like backlighting and obstruction. I optimized the YOLOv5s network structure by integrating CBAM attention mechanisms to enhance both real-time performance and accuracy. The system was specifically tuned for various parking scenarios, ensuring robust center point localization and parking space inference.

Interests

I'm really into planes and love spotting different aircraft when I travel. Railways fascinate me too—there's something special about train journeys. I enjoy thinking about how cities work, from their road networks to overall planning. Maps and geography have always clicked for me, and I rarely get lost. I speak Mandarin at home, plus Cantonese and English comfortably, with a bit of Russian and German I've picked up along the way. Meeting new people and experiencing different places keeps life interesting. When I have free time, you'll probably find me on the badminton court, where I play at a competitive level.
